SPG has launched with ANA double Starpoints or Mileage Club miles promotion for stays in Japan, Korea and Guam through March 31, 2018.
You need to book your stay using the special link and rate plan “JKGHANA” and will earn double Starpoints by default.
You can access this offer on SPG’s website here.

Note that you can later convert these points to ANA Mileage Club or any other SPG partner airline miles.
Conclusion
I find it quite interesting that SPG has these airline related bonus offers where they in fact bonus Starpoints and not airline miles.
You need to enable the autoconversion of points to airline miles to ove them but that doesn’t make much sense because you can convert them at any time anyway.
Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:
Campaign Reservation Requirements: Starwood Preferred Guest® Members who are also ANA Mileage Club members (“Eligible Members”) must reserve for stays online between January 9, 2018, through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), through March 31, 2018 (the “booking period”) at http://apac.starwoodoffers.com/jkghana with the eligible rate plan “JKGHANA”(“Reserved members” and “Reserved accommodations”). Reserved members can earn bonus ANA Mileage Club miles or bonus Starpoints® on eligible spend on Reserved accommodations booked between January 9, 2018, through March 31, 2018 (the “stay period”), at participating hotels and resorts in the SPG® program that are located in Japan, Guam and Korea (the “Offer” or “Promotion”).
Stay: Reserved members will earn double ANA Mileage Club miles or Starpoints at participating hotels and resorts on every eligible spend during the Reserved Accommodations. Elite-level extra Starpoints earnings and other bonuses will not be doubled. Only the base two-Starpoints-per-dollar eligible earnings are doubled. Offer is eligible with other Starpoints promotions; however, each offer will award bonus Starpoints independently of each other.
Bonusing: In order to receive the bonus offer as ANA Mileage Club miles, an Eligible Member needs to register at www.spg.com/moremiles. If not registered, Eligible Members will earn bonus Starpoints and it is within their discretion to convert them to ANA Mileage club miles. The bonus Miles / Starpoints will post to the Reserved member’s account within two [2] to four [4] weeks after the eligible stay posts.
Eligible stays and nights: An eligible stay is defined as one or more consecutive nights paying an eligible rate in the same hotel or resort, regardless of the number of check-ins or checkouts that occur, and posting to the registered member’s Starwood Preferred Guest account. An eligible night is defined as at least one night paying an eligible rate in the earning period. An eligible rate is a rate booked under the rate plan “JKGHANA”. A description of eligible rates can be found at spg.com under the program terms and conditions. See Section 2.1 for the complete definition of eligible rates.
Note that certain prepaid room reservations — such as when the booking is made through a third party, including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com, orbitz.com and delta.com — are not considered eligible rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify for promotional earnings. Stays must be booked through any Starpoints-eligible channel, which includes a travel professional who books through those channels or the GDS. Stays will be processed for the promotion in the order they post to the registered member’s account.
