Marriott has struggled for the past couple of years to add correct elite nights credits to Bonvoy member accounts that are used to determine one’s lifetime tier with the program.
A friend, whose elite year tally had been stuck for three years since 2019, told me their year tally had increased by one, and someone else commented that theirs had increased by two.

We covered the ins and outs of the elite year tally issue, but it is still unclear where the problem is. The readers are 100% sure that their numbers were incorrect, while Marriott has been adamant that there is NO issue and that the count is right.
It has been somewhat difficult for me to follow this issue, as my lifetime year count is way off (way too many), but they all increased by one yesterday.
