What is the garbage about “freeloaders”? No one expects anything for “free.” I have been to WA Maldives, twice, and have an upcoming 5-night award stay at Conrad Rangali, and I have no idea what you are talking about. I earn my points by spending real money, which I redeem according to the program’s own rules. I expect nothing else beyond what is offered and I suspect that few who play the game by the book expect much more than that.

To harp about some notion of “freeloaders” simply reflects your own mindset as a “freeloader” rather than anyone else’s.

I love how freeloaders getting in trouble in The Maldives. Expecting the hotel to ship and fly in all of the food they want and then give it for free because you stayed 50 nights at a Moxy or Hampton on your employers expenses last year and now you are redeeming your miles and points for a Maldives vacation and acting like the hotel you have chosen to redeem your Moxy points belongs to you.
